Measuring minimum pressure on string to avoid fuzzy sound, 0,4 - 0,8 kg. The first choise of pneumatic components: valves, tubes, fittings and cylinders. The cylinders on the fretboard were later changed.
Test of cylinder pressure against the string.
Planing and buying equipmnet: 3-way valve, 5-way valve and double working cylinder.
Teoretical calculation of cylinder frequency and speed. Buying guitar in parts.
Using a manual car pumpe and a 0,6 l aluminium bottle as air comressor/tank.
Testing of valves: minimum needed air pressure: 4 bar.
Buying more equipmnet after successful testing.
Buying 3D-printer. Testing of 3D-drawing software: FreeCAD
Assemling the guitar an give name to the guitar: AIRcaster.
Buying small 12 VDC air compressor.
Working with the first fret block system (later abandoned). 3D-printing and testing.
Problems to solve:
- Warping when 3D-printing
- Hard shock from fret cylinder arm on string
- Width of fret cylinder block
- Coil on valves not working properly
Workshop area shut down in the winter because of low temperatur.
